What is a Shabbaton?
A Shabbaton is a an inspirational Convention of more than 200 teens from around the Region (Cleveland, Columbus, Cincinnati, Detroit and Pittsburgh). We spend an amazing Shabbat together, making new friends, hearing unbelievable speakers, and experiencing unique programs. There are three Shabbatons throughout the year for High School students, that makeup the backbone of NCSY culture and activity.
On a typical Shabbaton, you will leave your home city on a Thursday night (Friday options available for those who can’t miss school or for Jr NCSY Shabbatons), return on Sunday evening. Shabbatons will be in any of our Regional cities. On Friday and Saturday night we’ll go out to local establishments for fun and exciting activities. Then all Shabbat long we’ll have a pumped up, amazing Shabbat experience- with all the Shabbat dinners and activities.
